This Friday, December 22, the longest-running Christmas market in Menorca was inaugurated in Alaior, which this year returns to the Plaza del Ramal until January 4.
The Alaior Christmas Market offers all its visitors a great craft and gastronomic offer as well as a large number of activities. The decorative elements and lighting are not far behind since, like other years, the photocall returns with the letters “LÔ” and the giant illuminated bear, giving the market a happy and lively atmosphere.
The mayor of Alaior, José Luis Benejam, has thanked the Councilor for Festivals, Fairs and Markets, Eva Petrus, for all the work carried out to offer the residents of Alaior and visitors from the rest of the island a great Christmas full of life , light and activities.
The mayor has also declared that this is an initiative that favors local commerce and makes its products known thanks to the large influx of people who will visit the market every day as they did this Friday, the day of the inauguration. Furthermore, this year the location of the market has been the result of agreements between the municipality’s merchants and the Government Team of the Alaior City Council.”
On the other hand, the ice rink, a great attraction during the Christmas season, has opened its doors at the municipal sports center.
Until January 5, the whole family can enjoy ice skating, both the little ones and the older ones in the house.
The Christmas Market and the ice rink are, together with the New Year’s Eve party and the Kings’ Parade, the main attractions that make Alaior a municipality that always welcomes the Christmas holidays with open hands and a lot of spirit.
