Alaró cooks with mushrooms, the commitment to local gastronomy is back

12 participating restaurants will serve dishes with this ingredient from November 22 to December 8

Gastronòmicament/Mallorca - Alaró continues to bet on gastronomy, local products and the local restaurant sector. Once again, the gastronomic days Alaró cuisine with mushrooms are back, which will take place from November 22 to December 8.

Both the mayor of Alaró, Llorenç Perelló, and the councilor for Economic Promotion, Cati Cifre, together with Jaume Maura, from the Traffic restaurant, highlight the success of this event that began in 2008 and has been held intermittently: "In recent years it has consolidated and is an event awaited by many people", they remark.

During these weeks, local restaurants will continue to offer the dishes they have on the menu, but will also include other proposals with mushrooms that can be from a snack to more elaborate dishes. Some of the establishments repeat the dishes, year after year, because their customers ask for it and others renew the menu every season.

Mayor Perelló has indicated that "from the City Council we want these days to also be an excuse for people to come as far as Alaró to enjoy everything we can offer our town, such as commerce, heritage, landscape and, obviously, gastronomy".

The participating restaurants in this 2024 edition are: Es Xiringo, Traffic, Can Punta, Bar Sa Plaça, Artiga, Terra Mar & Foc, Squash Alaró, Bar Gent Gran, Avinguda, Can Petit, El Trastero and Simons. The local beer Forastera also collaborates.
