Cuatro Rayas Vendimia Nocturna Sauvignon 2023

Cuatro Rayas Vendimia Nocturna Sauvignon 2023

Bep Al·lès/Ciutadella - Thanks to Vinum Menorca this week we offer you a classic from the DO Rueda, it is the single-variety Cuatro Rayas Vendimia Nocturna Sauvignon 2023, produced by the prestigious Bodegas Cuatro Rayas, founded in 1935, with vines that are more than 20 years old

The name Cuatro Rayas comes from the fact that the vineyards are located at a point where 4 towns meet, La Seca, Rodilana, Medina del Campo and Roda. For this reason, this place was called Pago de las Cuatro Rayas

Tasting notes

Appearance: Pale straw yellow with green iridescence, crystalline and bright.

Nose: Intense entry and elegant aromatic expression where the memories of fleshy and exotic white fruit such as lychee, passion fruit and pineapple stand out.

Palate: Dry, with a certain breadth and a very smooth finish full of aromatic memories perceived on the nose. Long persistence at the end.

Pairing

Ideal wine to accompany fish, seafood, risottos and fusion cuisine dishes.

This is the most awarded white Sauvignon in Spain and it will go wonderfully with white and blue fish, both in the oven, grilled, griddled, salted... as well as with mild cooking and sauces.

Baked grouper, grilled red mullet, salmon en papillote with a citrus mayonnaise, cod with peppers, baked chopa a la menorquina, dentex stew or filet of pagrío on a bed of sautéed spring mushrooms.

It goes well with seafood: from steamed mussels with mayonnaise sauce to Menorcan-style mussels, including natural or baked cockles, clams in green sauce or in sherry wine, steamed cockles, grilled clams or razor clams with saffron mayonnaise.

It goes well with seafood paella and fideuás, rock fish stews or moray eel stew, as well as monkfish suquet with prawns and is an excellent option to pair with dishes where the sea bass is the star.

Try it with fusion cuisine dishes: sea bass tiradito, sea bass ceviche, grilled sea bream with siracha mayonnaise and tiger's milk, fish tacos, salmon tartare, red tuna tataki... also ideal for sushi and sashimi.
