Itziar Lecea/Ciutadella - The gastronomic portal of the group Setmanaris i Revistes SL launches a new web format, with a renewed design and with all the gastronomic news of the island within everyone's reach. This digital adventure, which began in 2018, celebrates its sixth year this year, which began to be supplemented in 2019 with the paper magazine, and which you can read every three months from the comfort of your home.

A PORTAL TO CREATE AWARENESS
The new Foodies on Menorca website, run by the president of the Association of Gastronomic Journalists and Writers of the Balearic Islands, Bep Al·lès, has been modernized in such a way that the reading of all the information is presented in the format of blog. Divided into the Gastronomy, News and World Foodie sections, the new portal has changed especially in form, but not in essence.

The defense, dissemination and protection of the local product of Menorca, as well as the culinary traditions of our island, are key themes of the new website. In fact, it is this defense and study of Menorcan gastronomic culture that prompted the creation of the portal in 2018, which was initiated by Al·lès himself. Connoisseur of the culinary tradition, he is, in fact, the author of several books dedicated to the subject, such as "Les arrels de la cuina Menorquina, recipes de cuina antiga", "La cuina señorial de Menorca", or the most recent "Sa cuina de ca n'Scella". And the gastronomic passion permeates much of the publications of the Setmanaris i Revistes SL group.

The dissemination of knowledge of our gastronomic culture is the main raison d'être of the portal, which is updated regularly in order to bring the current situation of this sector closer to you in a virtual way.

Foodies on Menorca is much more than a culinary magazine; it is an invitation to a total immersion in the aromas, flavors and traditions of Menorca. With each issue, readers are taken on a journey through the island's gastronomic landscape, discovering the secrets of its local products, traditional dishes that have stood the test of time and new culinary trends that are emerging.

And those that make up the Foodies recipe. Foodies will find a wide range of recipes: from traditional dishes such as lobster stew to more innovative creations inspired by local cuisine, such as fresh fish dishes and seasonal vegetables, the magazine offers inspiration for everyone tastes and levels of culinary competence. Each recipe is accompanied by practical advice and details on key ingredients, ensuring that readers can recreate the authentic experience of Menorcan cuisine in their own home.

In the News section you will find all the news related to the gastronomy, cuisine and local products of Menorca. In this sense, there are frequent posts dedicated to the news of the primary sector, as a food producer. But also from the services and tourism sector, a world increasingly linked to the countryside and the sea of ??Menorca, due to the growing interest in using products from the island.
