This weekend, Plaça des Ramal d'Alaior hosted the 11th edition of the Fireta de Tardor, held on November 9 and 10. The event was a resounding success, with a large influx of visitors that filled the city center with a festive and colorful atmosphere. Attendees were able to enjoy a wide range of local products, crafts and zero kilometer items.
Participating businesses and artisans have expressed their satisfaction with the enthusiastic reception of the public, especially with the interest shown in local products such as doughnuts, preserves, jams, cheeses, sausages and other seasonal delicacies. This year's Fireta included a diverse program of activities for all audiences: on Saturday, visitors enjoyed a performance by the Eva Pons Trio and a children's activity by the Colla de Geganters i Grallers of Alaior. On Sunday, the event concluded with Aikau's musical performance, which put the final touch with an animated repertoire.
The mayor of Alaior, José Luis Benejam, and Eva Petrus, Councilor for Culture, Fairs and Markets, have very positively assessed the response of the public and have underlined the importance of this Autumn Fair to energize the town center and provide a platform for local businesses and artisans to exhibit and sell their products.
Once again, La Fireta de Tardor has established itself as a meeting place between tradition and innovation that has captivated both visitors and residents of Alaior, thus strengthening interest in local products and crafts.
