HORECA Baleares recognizes the work in favor of gastronomy carried out by Bep Al·lès

The HORECA Fair, which was held this week in its Menorca edition, has recognized the work carried out by our director and editor, Bep Al·lès, as one of the main disseminators, researchers and defenders of Menorcan gastronomy and cuisine, highlighting his work as a journalist and gastronomic writer with valuable contributions to the history and knowledge of Menorcan cuisine.

Along with Bep Al·lès, the work carried out by the Borràs family was also recognized, in front of the remembered restaurant and inn “Rocamar” in the port of Maó, and by Antoni Juaneda, creator of the restaurant and gastronomic experiences portal, “ Cómete Menorca ”. Tribute was also paid to Albert Adrià, pastry chef and pastry chef at what was the best restaurant in the world, “El Bulli” with his brother, the chef Ferran Adrià.

Bep Al·lès is perhaps the most prolific of Menorca’s gastronomic writers, with a good number of cookery recipe books, in addition to the obligatory reference work “Gastronomic Memory of Menorca” and the numerous gastronomy articles that have been published. in Setmanari El Iris, Ara Balears, Balearia Entre Olas, Manjaria and other media such as Foodies on Menorca, quarterly magazine and gastronomic website of the Setmanaris i Revistes Group, of which he is president and Administrator.

He has been the organizer of the Ramon Cavaller Mayonnaise Sauce Contest, in addition to being a founding member of Fra Roger, of which he is part of the board of directors and since 2015, re-elected twice, president of the Association of Journalists and Gastronomic Writers of Balearics Islands.
