Incentive for wool composting in CARB 2024

This year, new economic incentives have been added to the recently published call for aid from the Consell Insular de Menorca to promote sustainable practices on farms in Menorca (CARB).

One of these is to incorporate wool composting into farm management. This measure entails an economic incentive of €900 to farms that request it and that meet the general requirements for applying to CARB.

This measure aims to help farmers on farms to carry out this agricultural use of wool through composting, which, thanks to the pilot tests completed this year with the LLARETSS project, has been seen as a good measure to make use of wool and improve soil fertility. The deadline for applying for aid ends on January 13.
