The restaurant Mr. Bep’s is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and is doing so with new off-the-shelf dishes such as the red lobster from Menorca with fried eggs and potatoes, which was recommended to us by our good friend Toni Ocaña.
Go to Mr. Bep’s is to be seduced by the proposals that Paco Domínguez presents to us in the garden and in the kitchen masterfully prepared by his wife Laura García, a marriage with a long history in the world of hospitality in Menorca.
Paco served us, for two, a large tray of chips, fried eggs “estrellados” and half a lobster per person, which has become one of the star dishes of the cuisine of the seafood queen in Menorca for a few years.
We accompanied it with a Gessamí blanco 2022 from Gramona, which gave us the freshness and acidity necessary for this seafood dish, which in turn is strong. Coupage: 15% Gewürztraminer, 45% Muscat, 40% Sauvignon Blanc
