Es Molí D’es Racó is located in a three-century-old flour mill, very visible from the main road, drawing the profile or what is now called the skyline of Es Mercadal. The mill abandoned its mission decades ago, becoming first a private house and then, in the early eighties, a restaurant. It was the Martí brothers who converted the old barn into a dining room and who gradually expanded the facilities to what we know today. For a quarter of a century, they anchored their offer in Menorcan cuisine, building relationships with local artisans and farmers, who provided vegetables, potatoes, snails and meat products.
We were there recently to taste their Matured beef ribeye from Menorca, which is served filleted on the bone at the table and served with a generous plate of homemade chips, which are addictive.
It is worth noting that the meat served at the restaurant comes from their own farms, which guarantees its quality.
Best Menorcan cuisine restaurant by the Balearic Association of Journalists and Gastronomic Writers in 2018.
