Menorcan gastronomy highlights its fishing tradition with the celebration of the 10th edition of the Gastronomic Fish Days, an initiative that seeks to encourage the consumption of local fish and highlight the excellence of cuisine made with seafood.
As a novelty, this year the 'Gastronomic Fish Days' are bringing forward their celebration to April, when they were traditionally held in May. This change responds to the desire to generate activity on the island before Easter, at a time when many restaurants are still closed. The importance of this initiative lies in its approach, which does not focus on volume, but rather on consolidating an attractive gastronomic offer in the low season. In this way, both tourists and residents can enjoy an organized and dynamic culinary proposal in a period of lower influx, thus contributing to dynamizing the sector and promoting the consumption of local products.
The conference will be held over two consecutive weekends, from Friday to Sunday, on April 4, 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13, 2025. During these days, the participating establishments will offer a lunch menu in which fish and seafood will be the protagonists, incorporating traditional preparations of the Minorcan cuisine.
In this edition, a total of 10 establishments from different municipalities on the island have joined the proposal, offering special menus with traditional recipes and innovative proposals. Participants are free to define their menu and price, allowing them to adapt to the availability of fresh produce.
