Nestlé and Damm have sealed an agreement to produce, market and distribute Nestea in the markets of Spain, Andorra and Gibraltar. The brewer will manufacture the tea soft drinks at its Valencian plant in Salem from 2025. After the 'divorce' with Coca-Cola that endangered the presence of the Nestea brand in Spain, Nestlé has found a new partner and has allied itself with Damm. The Swiss multinational has specified that Nestea will continue to be marketed in the full range of flavors and formats, under the same quality standards and with "identical organoleptic profile". Damm has already started producing the first units of Nestea, which will be available to consumers in regular points of sale from 1 January 2025.
"We are very happy to be able to announce that Nestea will continue to be marketed in Spain by a partner with the history and category of Damm. We are convinced that this new stage will be a success and that our consumers will celebrate being able to continue having their favorite tea brand", highlighted Jordi Llach, CEO of Nestlé Spain. "This agreement represents a significant milestone for Damm, Nestea is a reference brand and leader in the segment of refreshing tea drinks that will strengthen our portfolio of products and brands, offering our customers a high quality product that has been appreciated for decades by all consumers", added Jorge Villavecchia, CEO of Damm.
"We are convinced that this alliance with Nestlé will allow us to strengthen the Nestea brand in the non-carbonated drinks segment, which has good prospects for future growth," Villavecchia said.
