Pomegranates with muscatel

Ingredients: 4 or 5 pomegranates, half a litre of sweet muscatel, 200 g of sugar and cinnamon powder to taste.

Preparation: Remove the seeds from the pomegranates and, once they have been peeled, place them in a bowl and cover them first with sugar and the cinnamon powder of your choice.

Cover everything with sweet muscatel and let it rest for a couple of hours in the fridge before serving.

This was one of the oldest and most popular desserts in Menorca throughout the autumn.
