Semsum 2 is a white wine produced by Finca Casa Corredor, part of the MGWines group, protected under the Denomination of Origin (D.O.) Alicante. This wine is made with the Macabeo and Moscatel grape varieties, from vineyards over 30 years old. We are faced with a fresh and attractive white wine, with just the right acidity to accompany soft dishes.
View: It has a pale yellow tone, clean and bright.
Nose: Fruity aromas with a predominance of citrus and tropical notes, on a background of white flowers.
Mouth: Fresh and silky entry, with a remarkable balance and a long finish that recalls delicate tropical fruits.
Consumption temperature: It is recommended to serve it between 14ºC and 16ºC to fully enjoy its qualities.
This wine is ideal for accompanying cured cheeses, grilled or baked fish, roasted meats and small game dishes.
It will pair well with old cheeses from Menorca such as Biniatzem, La Payesa, Son Piris or Quintana, as well as old cheeses from Binigarga and especially those flavoured with rosemary or thyme, for example.
Baked fish with potatoes such as ratjada, morruda or cántera, as well as rockfish, pagells, pagres, sea bass or gilthead sea bream, which we can also grill or grill.
Also fish dishes such as monkfish with American sauce, ratjada with black butter and capers, hake with leek sauce or cod dishes.
Although it is a soft white wine, due to its fair and balanced acidity it will pair well with baked meats such as suckling pig or Menorcan lamb.
Also white game meats such as rabbit with almond sauce, rabbit with peppers, quail and thrushes with salmon or a rice dish of thrushes, quail, cuttlefish and red prawns from Ciutadella.
