Signage for Wine of the Land of the Island of Menorca

In recent months, based on the project “Signage for Wine of the Land of the Island of Menorca”, all the signs requested by the different wineries that produce wine under this PGI have been placed.

The objective was, on the one hand, to indicate and direct all visitors to the wineries, and on the other, to signpost different points on the island to indicate the production of this product throughout Menorca.

In 2024, 1,660 Hl of wine with the Protected Geographical Indication Wine of the Land of the Island of Menorca were marketed, and of this, 95% within the island of Menorca. This figure represents an increase in sales of 23% compared to 2023. This increase is surprising because in 2024 production decreased due to drought, but the increase in land dedicated to vineyards partially alleviated this decline.
