The 2024 Catalonia Wine Guide goes on sale with 1.258 references
Barcelona – The Guide to Wines of Catalonia 2024 has already gone on sale this Monday with 1,258 references, several opinion articles from personalities linked to the sector and an extensive essay on the future of the wine world. Coinciding with the sale of the volume market, the Fiesta de la Guía was celebrated with the awarding of prizes to the best-rated wines and the participation of 112 wineries that have allowed more than 400 references to be tasted, some of them small productions and limited editions . The 14th Fiesta de la Guía also wanted to hand out three honorary awards: the Solergibert Winery, career award; Carlota Pena (Viñas de Olivardots) and Andrea Miró (Celler Jordi Miró), Futur prize; and Vicenç Ferré and Oriol Pérez from Tudela, Territory Award.

Four red wines shared the top score in the 2024 edition of the Guide. These are: Gix Vermell 2021, Terroir Sense Fronteres, DO Montsant; Venus de La Figuera 2019, Venus La Universal, DO Montsant; Partida Bellvisos 2018, Sara and René Vinticultors, DOQ Priorat; and Scala Dei Masdeu 2018, Scala Dei, DOQ Priorat. As for the white wines, two have been the best scored: Vd’O 9 2020, Vinyes d’Olivardots, DO Empordà; and Macabeo de Solergibert 2021, Bodega Solergibert, DO Pla de Bages. Finally, the prize for the best rosé wine has also been shared by two references: InAnnat 2022, Mascorrubí Heretat, DO Catalunya; and La Tarentina 2022, Herencia Altés, DO Terra Alta.

The Fiesta de la Guía de Vinos de Catalunya has been held throughout this Monday in the Razzmatazz room in Barcelona and has also meant the farewell of its directors until now, Sílvia Naranjo and Jordi Alcover, who are ceding the authorship to pass to manage only the logistics of the successive editions of the Guide.
