ACN/Girona – The head chef of the family restaurant Can Roca, Dani Redondo, has died at the age of 46 in a traffic accident, as reported by the ‘sommelier’ Josep Roca in a message published on social networks. Redondo was also head chef at the award-winning El Celler de Can Roca for nine years. He later traveled to Brazil, where he promoted Maní, in Sao Paulo, a restaurant that Roca has described as “of excellence and reference”, and which is among the four best in Latin America. Over the years, he returned to Girona, where he joined as head chef at Can Roca, the restaurant where he had actually started his career when he was only 15 years old.
