This past week, Barcelona Wine Week (BWW) was held. The event once again included among its participants wines with quality brands from the Balearic Islands, which year after year increase their prestige and demand in both national and international markets. Compared to the 2024 edition, this year the participation of wineries with protected designation of origin (DOP) or protected geographical indication (IGP) from the Balearic Islands has increased by 37.5%, with the presence of 32 wineries and the Association of Wine Producers of Menorca. All the wineries in the archipelago have shared a common space, which has been organized by the General Directorate of Agri-Food Quality and Local Products. In addition, the Ministry finances practically the entire cost of the stands (90%).
The wineries from Mallorca that have attended the fair are: Finca Biniagual, Vins Nadal, Can Fumat, Bodegas José L. Ferrer, Macià Batle, 7103 Petit Celler, Son Antem, Castell Miquel, Son Vich de Superna, Binigrau, Santa Catarina, Sa Cabana, Son LJS Bodega, Son Grau Gran, Can Axartell, Oliver Moragues, Vinyes Mortitx, AVA Vi, Son Prim, Bodega 65, Ses Talaioles, Los Dos Caballeros, Ca Sa Padrina, Es Fangar, Miquel Oliver, Pere Seda, Butxet and Miquel Gelabert.
