The ‘Ses Bruixes Christmas Market’ is back

The Boutique Hotel Ses Bruixes will celebrate the eighth edition of its traditional ‘Christmas Market’ on December 15, 16 and 17, 2023. San Fernando Street in Mahón and the interior of the hotel will host three days full of crafts, solidarity, gastronomy, music and a lot of Christmas atmosphere.

“We feel lucky to have unique and historical spaces in Mahón and what makes us most excited is to share them, opening them to the world so that people can experience them and, in some way, feel a little bit of their own too. In the end, without the people who visit us, these places would have no reason to exist today. We love that whoever visits us creates their own story and that is exactly what happens during the days of the Christmas Market” remarks Anja Sánchez-Rodrigo Wickers, CEO and founder of Boutique Hotel Ses Bruixes.

This year we grow and expand our family of artisans and merchants with a total of 38, who will have their unique handmade creations for sale: jewelry, ceramics, floral arrangements, bags, scented candles, natural cosmetics, clothing, games, illustrations and liquors.

SOLIDARITY
And as has become a tradition in Ses Bruixes, there will be space for three charitable causes. The Maó Animal Protection Agency, Trebalúger Equine Center and Cats in Need will have a booth to raise funds through the sale of their products.

GASTRONOMY
The event will not miss the usual parade of waffles, cinnamon rolls, chocolate and mulled wine. Furthermore, during those days, the Cafè & Restaurant Ses Bruixes, located in the interior patio of the Boutique Hotel, will offer, among other delicacies, homemade muffins, soups and cakes, both to taste on site and to take away.

MUSIC
Seven live music performances in the interior patio of the Boutique Hotel and in the vicinity of the hotel will liven up the three days of the Market. The finishing touch to the market will be the performance of the ‘Som Gòspel’ choir directed by Albert Vidal, on Sunday late afternoon.

This year the children will have a special role. As a novelty, the doors of the Patio de los Elfos will open, located at 5 San Fernando Street, next to booth 1 of the market. In this wonderful space, a team of elves will welcome the boys and girls who want to leave their letter in Santa Claus’s or the Three Wise Men’s mailbox. Among other children’s activities, they can also have their faces painted by our elf artists, dress up to take photos in the traditional ‘photocall’, attend Anna Tillas’ story-telling as an audience or participate in one of the children’s workshops on creating Christmas decorations. and fantastic objects made from natural or recycled objects.

In addition, on Saturday at noon we will have a performance by the Puericantores de Ciutadella children’s choir, directed by Cristina Álvarez Melis.

And, of course, Santa Claus will not miss his annual appointment with the ‘Ses Bruixes Christmas Market’.

SUSTAINABILITY
“At Ses Bruixes we have the Menorca Biosphere Reserve and Plastic Free Accommodation certificate and we take care of every detail to guarantee that our footprint is as small as possible. All our packaging is ecological, we do not use disposable plastic of any kind, we use local products and we decorate with reusable or natural material. The children’s workshops at the market are another way to help promote the concept of sustainability among the little ones.” Anja Sánchez-Rodrigo Wickers, CEO and founder of Boutique Hotel Ses Bruixes, tells us.
